CEIPES – Italy

CEIPES – International Centre for the Promotion of Education and Development is a non-profit organisation founded in 2007 and based in Palermo, Italy. It leads a Network of more than 8 European and extra European associations focused on Education, Training and Social Development. CEIPES has expertise on Education, Transfer of innovation and Project management in different European programmes tackling the Education and the capacity building of different target groups, from young people to adults, from women to unemployed, migrants and disadvantaged groups. It also promotes lifelong learning, vocational training and entrepreneurship with the aim of enhancing opportunities for youth and adults to improve and acquire competences and therefore boost their employability and inclusion. CEIPES has several links with public and private local and international stakeholders that can contribute to the achievement of project results in terms of dissemination, exploitation and sustainability of them. CEIPES can count on experienced staff composed of professionals with different competences and fields such as psychology, communication, training, international cooperation, social and cultural mediation, social assistance, ICT, digital manufacturing and law.

CEIPES annually involve more than 150 youngsters and youth workers in learning mobility, with sending and hosting capacity, through international volunteering, youth exchanges, internships and training courses, more than 100 youngsters in local educational paths and more then 100 adult learners among teachers and staff of no profit organizations and public institutions.

Musa Kirkar – Director and Project Manager: President and founder of the CEIPES. Project manager of numerous international researches, training and innovation projects with particular referent of the areas of the integration and social inclusion, pedagogical development, education with vulnerable groups of people, didactic methods and training with teachers/trainers and parents. Expert in strengthening key competences in VET, developing Open and innovative practices in a digital era and introducing systematic approaches to, and opportunities for, the initial and continuous professional development of VET teachers, trainers and mentors in both school and work-based setting.

Fulvio Grassadonio – Team Leader and Project Manager. Graduated in life span developmental Psychology, he cooperated with the Psychology Department of the University of Palermo for several researches about youth engagement, learning disabilities and difficulties, disorders during childhood and other stages of life span; he also worked as a trainer in several training courses using formal and non-formal education. In CEIPES he has coordinated and worked in more than 20 projects in the field of youth, adult education, school and VET. He is responsible and supervisor of the other staff work and task accomplishment.

Rosi Libertini – Project Manager. Has a Master’s degree in International Business from Donghua University and a Bachelor’s degree in international Relations and Politics from University of Palermo. She has spent many years abroad in Europe and Asia where she gained a deep understanding of different cultures and their inclusion and different life and working experiences including marketing, international trading and training in several schools using formal and non-formal education. She is responsible for the success of the projects.

Alessia Di Francesca – Expert in STEAM Education: She graduated in industrial design and she has a specialization in Product Design for Innovation at the Polytechnic of Milan. Thanks to practical experiences in the product design and prototyping, Alessia developed skills that allow her to experiment and train other people on the most innovative technologies. At CEIPES she mainly deals with the creation and promotion of STEM training courses through the use of 3D printing and specific tools and software, the creation of paths aimed at promoting digital skills and digital and technological transformation of cross sectoral business. Alessia also specializes in graphic design, user experience design, Human-Centered Design, User-Centered Design and Human-Computer Interaction. She has been numerous user studies for the design of the digital product structure (wireframe).
